Philadelphia Trip

My sweet and wonderful little family took a trip to Philadelphia.  This is one of out bucket list trip while we are living in the northeast area of the country.   We had a great plan of staying in a Homewood Suites (our favorite hotel for room and convenience) right in between downtown Philly and Sesame Place.  This way we could do a day in each and cover our bases.

The first day was amazing!  We arrived to Sesame Place before they even opened and stayed until almost closing time.  The kids (and me too) had so much fun riding all the rides, watching the shows, playing in the water park area and seeing the character parade.  No doubt we were all exhausted by the end of the day.

While we had such a blast that first day at Sesame, the cards were not in our favor completely for our excursion to historic Philadelphia.  Before the rain came pouring down on us, we were able to visit the Constitution Museum, walk through the park to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers from the Revolutionary War and visit tour the Liberty Bell.  While standing in line for the Liberty Bell the rain began....we did not just get a little wet, but instead got soaked.   Since we were unable to finish site seeing all the amazing places in Philly, Ed, the kids and I are heading back on the 4th of July!  So stay tuned for Philadelphia part 2!
