About this time last year, God laid on Ed's heart that He had a major change for us in the near future. He convicted Ed that Washington DC was where he needed to be. So last May we put the house up for sale, hoping in this market and with all the foreclosures in our neighborhood at the time, our house we sell without us having to bring money we didn't have to the table. Less than 6 months later, the house sold and we basically broke even! It really was God's hand in helping this happen. He was still pointing us toward D.C., but now we needed a reason to move there.
In December, the Chief of Career Services Manager position in D.C. opened up. This was a position Ed had daydreamed about, talked about, and prepared for, for the last 8 years! The timing was perfect. He applied....and of course, with all thanks to God, Ed got the job!!!! Yep, that is right, we are now moving to D.C! God has moved any obstacle from our path and continued to push us in this direction. There is really no question in where our family is meant to be. Not only did God convict Ed, sell our house and give Ed favor in obtaining the position, but also has sped up the entire process of us being able relocate. I could go on an on with so many little things that God has taken care of or sped up the process of, but I would be writing for quite some time. Everything has fallen in placed beautifully. In fact, we are leaving Texas on March 28 and Ed has to report to work on April 1, which is right around the corner!
I gave my notice of resignation to my job over a week ago and I only have 4.5 short days left to work. This is exciting for me and our family because once we move, I am going to get to stay home with Nico and Natalee as a full time Mommy and full time homeschool teacher! We have decided that the best decision for our family right now is for the kids to be homeschooled. This will also be an exciting adventure!
With the big move and a huge life transition sitting right in front of us, please keep our family in your prayers. Pray that all these changes go smoothly and God continues to help guide us, in finding the right place to live, finding a church home and getting involved in the community we are moving to. Exciting adventures are on our horizons!

High 5!!!
Natalee's new thing is to give high 5's! She thinks it great fun to do it over and over again! It is so cute!
Valentine's Day
Ed and I are not big fans of Valentine's Day and he was (still is) out of town for this Hallmark created holiday, but we have decided we want to still celebrate it with the kids to some degree. Before Ed left on his trip (we were already in Houston), he left little presents for each of us for when we returned home! It was a great surprise for the kids! (pictures taken with my phone)
Every year on Valentine's Day Primrose classes do a class dance and then a little party. So of course I went to see Nico in his class dance which was to Afro Circus from Madagascar 3. Here is a video and a couple of pictures of the "dance" and party. It's a good thing I rushed from work so I wouldn't miss this-LOL!
Modeling some of her pretties!
Having a girl has opened up a whole new world for me with hairbows to matching shoes and hats to smocked dresses and Matilda Jane!!! It really is so overwhelming, but so fun! Here is Natalee modeling some of her most recent duds!
Just some random cuteness
I came to get Natalee up one morning and found this! Silly boy certainly loves his sister.
I just couldn't possibly love these two anymore than I already do!
Brotherly-sisterly love! I love watching them play together!
This is Natalee's new mad face! Isn't it cute?! She started doing this last month and I had to capture it on camera!
Austin: Air National Guard Headquarters
So now I am going to back up towards the beginning of January. We were invited to Austin, the state headquarters of the Air National Guard, because Ed had been nominated for the senior NCO of the year award at the state level. I am always so proud of my dear husband. He goes above and beyond the norm to help his troops and do his job well. The Air National Guard is lucky to have him as one of theirs. While in Austin we had some nice family time together and were able to experience the TX Military History Museum. Nico really enjoyed the museum because he got to climb into some of the military vehicles to pretend he was going for a ride! Here are some pictures from that weekend.
Natalee's Last Birthday Celebration
I just looked back at the pictures I have taken and realized how behind I am in blogging! I guess I have been a little distracted. So I am going to spend some time catching up, starting first with Natalee's actual birthday. Although we celebrated her birthday at her party and during her1 year photo shoot, we also had a mini celebration after dinner on her actual birthday. Sadly, she was not too impressed, probbaly because she had already come down with yet another case of RSV (was confirmed 2 days later ), but we did mangae to get a smile or two out fo her. Natalee got all her presents from Mommy and Daddy here, which were all previous toys of Nico's, and she of course had another chance at a cupcake (which she wanted nothing to do with).
