More Beach Pictures

Today was our 2nd trip to the beach this week.  We tried a different beach time too...it was Brownie Beach instead of North Beach.  The view is really pretty with the trees lining the beach, but there is a bit of a hike you have to make in order to get to the beach and it is not as modernized...i.e. no playground, and it is not netted to keep the seaweed and jelly fish out.   We had a great time as usual, especially since our neighborhood friends came with us!

Beach Pictures

This week so far we have had two beach excursions.  Here are the pictures from our beach trip on Wednesday.

Game Ball!!!!

Yep, that is Nico holding the GAME BALL!!!!

On Tuesday his team had a make up game and Nico earned the game ball at the end form his coach!  Daddy and I are so proud of our little man.  He played so hard and really put effort in to what he was doing, paid attention and even made some good plays during the game!  I do not think I have ever seen Nico so proud of himself.  He knew he had done a great job and had earned that ball....he was one proud kid!  The ball is now nicely placed on his wall shelf with his other trophies.

Mt. Vernon

How did we spend Memorial Day this year?  We went to tour the home of the greatest General this country has ever had....General...aka, President George Washington.  Mt. Vernon is a beautiful plantation that sits right on the Potomac River on the Virginia side.  The grounds are just beautiful and there is more history all nestled into these 8 acres than you can believe.  The Mansion itself is fabulous from it's authentic furniture to its architecture.  Seeing the tombs of both President and Martha Washington was quite surreal as well.  We roamed the land and saw the slave quarters, the green house and gardens, the blacksmith, and the museum.  We were not able to cover everything so we will be back, especially since we now have annual passes....I can just imagine Mt. Vernon decorated for Christmas!

Here are the pictures from our day at Mt Vernon (you are not allowed to take pictures inside the Mansion).
