North Beach Farmer's Market

Every Friday evening starting in May and ending in October, the city of North Beach, which is less than 5 minutes from Chesapeake Beach where we live, puts on a farmer's market and classic car cruise in.  You can find all kids of goodies here from fresh baked good from the Amish as well as locally grown vegetables, artwork, wine tasting, fresh cut flowers, bedding plants, cheeses, meat and even seafood.  In addition, there is a display of classic cars that line the street in front of the boardwalk for viewing.  On some Fridays there are campfires on the beach for the kids to make smores, movies on the beach, and even concerts on the beach.  This little beach community is a hopping place with so much to do and we are certainly blessed to be living here.

While Gigi was visiting last week (she was actually here for 10 days), we had strolled around the farmer's market on two different occasions. The kids love it because they can play on the beach and Nico can climb around on the pirate ship on the beach, we can walk around looking at all the items for sale, do some "dog watching" (instead of people watching) and walk out on the pier.

Here are the pictures from the first week of going to the farmer's market while Gigi was visiting.

The 2nd week we took Gigi to the North Beach Farmer's Market and that week there was also a campfire. The kids made smores and there was story book reading on the beach.   Such a lovely family friendly community!
