Easter Weekend Part 3

Easter morning, bright and early, actually before the sun even rose, Nico was up and ready to explore to see if the Easter bunny had been a visitor at our house during the wee hours of the night.  It was way too early to rise and shine for us, plus the "Easter bunny" still needed to hide the eggs outside, so Nico crawled into bed with me until Natalee woke up.  Once everyone was dressed in their spiffy Easter duds and dresses, we headed down stairs to find some fun surprised!  Not only were the Easter eggs that we had left out, gone, but both Nico's and Natalee's Easter baskets were filled with goodies!  The kids had a blast rummaging through their baskets and then hunting for more eggs outside around the townhouse.  Strangely, we were the only ones outside doing this, which make me this traditions up here on this side of the country must be different.

A little last that morning we headed to North beach and had Easter brunch at the Westlawn Inn.  One year ago on Easter Sunday we drove into Maryland and then North and Chesapeake Beach for the first time after long track across the country.  The Westlawn Inn was the first place we came to that was open on Easter and we were nicely surprised to find it a quaint and classy little place. So continue that tradition, we partook in another delicious Easter brunch.  After our tummies were full, we walked over to the boardwalk for a stroll and got some ice cream.  The rest of the day was a relaxing one just hanging out at home, watching movies and playing.  It certainly was a great Easter weekend...thank you Jesus (literally)!
