3 Months Already
It has been a week since Natalee turned 3 months old! I really wish I could slow down time and take every moment in a little more. I absolutely adore our precious baby girl! She is SUCH A GOOD baby! I am amazed at how easy Natalee has made everything for me. She is also an incredibly happy baby. I love seeing that gorgeous smile on her face so often and when she is not smiling she looks like she is in deep thought with her crystal clear baby blues looking off. Natalee turning 3 months marks the start me going back to work. The first week was not so bad because my mom, aka Gigi, was here and stayed home with Natalee while I went back to work. I was able to come home for lunch and get a little baby girl fill before heading back out. Just 6 weeks left until I am done for the summer!
Here are Natalee's 3 month pictures.

My Birthday
I have been slacking this past week in my blogging! So much has been happening in the present and so it seem that God may also be working for things to happen in our future. It has been a week of celebrations, big decisions and good company and most inportantly a test in faith.
Beware I have a lot of picture to update with!
First, last Saturday was my birthday! It was a great day overall. We started off the day right by participating in the Fort Worth Zoo Run with our good friends, Lisa and David. It was a bit chilly outside when we started out, but the more we walked along the warmer we got. Nico and Dawson had a great time racing on foot and by stroller throughout the race course and seemed quite proud when they crossed over the finish line.
After the race our two went to the zoo and then for great lunch. One surprise we had at the zoo was when Nico and Dawson ran up to the window to look into the monkey area some of the monkeys came right up to the window and started banging and "communicating" to the boys! This noise scared Nico enough that when one of th emonkeys banged on the window and screamed, Nico screamed right back, turned out and came running back to us! Although, he was scared at first, it was very intriguing experience to see the monkeys up that close. Of course Nico loved seeing his favorites, the elephants and the giraffes as well!
After a long morning of walking and walking some more, this family came home and hit the sack for a little while...all except Natalee who slept throughout most of the morning's outing. That evening Ed and I were blessed enough to have Lisa and David offer to watch the kids while we went out for a nice evening filled with a girly movie and delicious dinner consisting of wine and sushi!

Playdates
Time seems to be just flying by so quickly...too bad it couldn't feel like this when we were going through our IF cycles! This is my last week home with Natalee before returning back to work. The first week will be bittersweet because Gigi will be here to look after our precious baby girl for that week and Nico and I are very much looking forward to her arrival. All I have to say is thank goodness for Gigis because Ed will be out of town that week and it would have been very hard for me to try to get back into the swing of things, taking both kids to school every day and doing it all on my own.
We have all been quite the busy bees in the last few weeks or so. Many of our days have been full of playdates. Nico has made some really good friends while at Primrose and I am grateful he has developed those relationships. I really can't say enough positive things about his experience at Primrose thus far...he has just blossomed and has learned an at such an accelerated level.
I was able to take a couple of pictures during a few of the playdates; however, I can barely get Nico to slow down or sit still enough, especially when with a friend to take a decent picture. I did get a couple cute pics of Natalee and her new "friends."

Dinosaur State Valley Park
Over Easter weekend our family was invited to join our new friends, the Gills, to explore the Glen Rose Dinosaur State Valley Park. We arrived after an hour an half drive with a packed lunch, beautiful weather and ready for some fun! We were able to hike and climb in different areas of the park (yes, even with two strollers in tow between the two families) and could see fossils of dinosaur tracks. At one track stop we had to cross over the Paluxy River by foot in order to see any tracks. This was slightly tricky when crossing with a three year old and trying hard not to slip on the rocks. The Daddies were the first to go across with Nico and his friend Daniel while Annette and I stayed back with the babies. Then it was our turn and we set out with the little boys to cross the river. We enjoyed time with our new friends and spending time outside before the extreme heat sets in here in North Texas. The park was really a haven for three year old boys with all the sticks and rocks that one boys could ever want or need! Nico and Daniel had so much fun that as soon as we began the journey back home they were out like lights.
Thank goodness there was some actual dinosaurs to see before we left the park! These were life size dinos for the kids to run around. Nico thought these were pretty cool and gave him some perspective on how big these monsters really were.
The end of the day....Nico sleeping, and Natalee crying! What a day!
