Another picture I forgot to include on the blog about Nico's birthday weekend at SeaWorld. This one was a "professional" picture taken of the kids with Elmo! You can't see too well, but Nico has an Elmo shirt and Natalee has an Abbey shirt on. They were both amazed to be with Elmo, and Nico was so distracted, he had a hard time smiling!
After everything that has happened over the last couple of days in this country, from the deaths of innocent young children and those who loved the children they served, to the uncouth and ridiculous political soapboxes people are jumping on to support guns.... even after 4 horrendous mass shootings have occurred in 4 years; it is wonderful to be able to look back at the pictures we took just two weeks ago. There was so much fun, so much laughter and joy celebrating Nico's 4th birthday. What has happened reminds me to be thankful for each day I have with my family, because nothing is guaranteed.
