Day 2 in Vegas started off a little rocky...Ed went golfing with his soon to be new son-in-law, Jeremy, Jeremy's father, brother and others. So mom's and my plan with the kids was to take a taxi down to the strip and see some of the kid friendly sights. However, before leaving we realized that the strollers we desperately needed in order to walk up and down the strip were in the rental car with Ed across town. This was quite a hurdle....but after phone calls to see if we could rent strollers and lots of brainstorming, we took a taxi to the CVS on the strip where they happen to sell simple umbrella strollers. We bought 2 and went on our way...in the heat....for quite a distance.
We walked into the Bellagio just to be in some a/c and let the kids see the beautifully decorated flowered ceiling. After a quick frozen yogurt break we trudged along the strip to make our way to the Mirage to see the Secret Garden with the dolphins and white tigers.
Although we were quite hot, we did enjoy getting to see so many of the tourist casinos along the strip as we made our way along. After seeing the beautiful dolphins and tigers at the Mirage, we then walked across the street to have lunch and experience the Venetian. Even with the heat, the long walks and the rough start, we had a good time...and were happy to have had the day to spend together.
